Ken Hunt (Lieutenant Colonel Retired)
Chairman
Ken Hunt has had a long and active military career. Early in his career he was assigned to the 5th Special Forces Group Airborne as a Junior Medic. He left the military in 1983 and entered the University of Idaho; he was commissioned in 1986 and graduated from the University in 1987. After commissioning Ken’s first assignments were as a Rifle Platoon Leader, Scout Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer and S-3 Air with the 5th 502nd Infantry, Berlin Brigade. Later Ken was an Intern with J3 Special Operations Division Joint Chiefs of Staff and Special Operations Forces Personnel Systems Staff Officer for the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel Department of the Army. Ken served in 3rd Battalion 10th Special Forces Group for several years. While assigned to 3rd Battalion he served as Detachment Commander for ODA 096, Commander of Support Company, Commander of Alpha Company and Battalion Executive Officer. After serving in 10th Special Forces Group he served at the Army’s Human Resources Command as the Special Forces, Major’s assignment officer. Ken’s final assignment was as the Professor of Military Science at the University of Idaho.

After graduating from the University of Idaho Ken continued his education, earning a Masters degree in General Administration from Central Michigan University.

Aside from Ken’s own personal military career he experienced the loss of his father, Master Sergeant (MSG) William B. Hunt, during the Vietnam War. In 1966 MSG William Hunt was declared Missing in Action. Bill was a part of 5th Special Forces Group serving in the Tay Ninh Province in the Republic of South Vietnam. MSG Hunt’s body was never recovered and a Memorial Honoring his military service was held in 1976.

Ken’s unwavering dedication to the United States Military has been the catalyst to The Warriors Promise Foundation.



Sherryl Foster
Vice Chairman/CEO
Sherryl Foster has been a Real Estate Appraiser for 16 years. For the past 11 years she has owned and operated her own appraisal company, Sherryl Foster Appraisal Inc. Sherryl has also been partial owner and board member of Innomark Inc. a nutritional supplements manufacturing company in Utah. Sherryl was also part owner and board member of Natural Styles, Inc. a registered brand nutritional products company doing business worldwide since 2000. Prior to her career in the real estate industry, Sherryl worked in personal lines insurance. Sherryl has served as PTA President at Sagle Elementary in Sagle, Idaho. She has organized and assisted in many fund raising and school related events. Early in her working career Sherryl was employed at United Cerebral Palsy as group home live-in staff and weekend relief. Sherryl has been a volunteer for the Junior Special Olympics and other community and educational related events.

Sherryl feels passionately that every living being has the ability to make a difference in some ones life, with whatever means we have available to us. It is her goal that The Warrior’s Promise Foundation will have the means to support people of the Military Community for the greater good of all humanity.



Katherine (Kat) Hunt
Treasurer
Twenty years ago Kat became involved with the US Military as a wife of a soldier. During her husbands career Kat was very active with the Family Readiness Group (FRG). She helped the organization with planning social support, emergency procedures, medical support, and legal issues.

Kat’s employment has included being a waitress, bartender, construction laborer, child care provider, teacher, horse trainer, and currently an administrative assistant for a title/escrow company. Kat attended the University of Idaho from 1973-1978 and earned a BS in Education. She is continuing her education with Graduate Courses in Business.

Along with the busy schedule given to a military wife, Kat has also been the Berlin American High School Cheer Coach, the Moscow Jr. High School Cheer Coach, and volunteer with the PTA.

Kat’s commitment to the military family is endless. Being part of the Warriors Promise Foundation is her way of giving back to a community that embraced her and her family for many years. "I intend to help individuals in the military with financial problems that may arise during the time of their duty to our country".



Anita Collins
Secretary
Anita successfully completed the Department of the Army’s Family Support Group Training and has 10 years experience as a unit coordinator for various Army units that her husband commanded. Anita has five children and has actively participated in many school fundraising activities, as well as having spent countless hours as a volunteer in the classroom working one on one with many students in need of tutoring. Anita has served on the Board of Directors for the San Tan Little League in Mesa, AZ as the Team Parent Coordinator and assisted with the League’s fundraising activities, and has been the Team Mom on numerous sports’ teams. She is still actively participating with school and youth sports fundraising activities. Anita currently works for the largest school district in Arizona, screening students at all grade levels for possible hearing impairments.
